WERA Endurance Series -Summit Point/VIR

Summit Point was a challenge as both teams only had two riders. The team functioned like a clock and kept both bikes on the track. The riders put in great laps and stayed in front of the competition, finishing first in their classes. All the riders agreed that 6 hours is long time to be on track!

VIR was HOT! This made the track slick and concentration very important. Ben was just back from surgery and was eager to ride, but would only do one stint to reduce the aggravation his repaired thumb. Jason DiSalvo would pull his other stint. The race started well with the two bikes out in front overall. In the second hour trouble struck and the R6 went down. It seemed like an eternity for the bike to get back to the pits. When it finally arrived, we get to work and had it back on the track in 14th position. This left a lot of work for the riders to get back to the front of the class. Once again the team worked well and with 12 minutes left in the race the R6 was able to lead the mediumweight class.
